Here’s Why I’m Walking In

Some invitations feel extra special. They aren’t the kind that arrive in the post with a ‘Congratulations, you may have won £10 million!’ promise – no, these ones actually mean something. So, I’m absolutely delighted to share that I have been invited to join the Forbes Business Council, a global community of business leaders, innovators, and thinkers.

Being recognised by Forbes is a true honour, but more importantly, it’s an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and contribute. Whether it’s through sharing insights on leadership, business psychology, and communication, or simply spreading the gospel of humour in high performance, I’m excited to be joining some of the brightest minds in the business world.

At Humourology, we’ve long championed the idea that great leadership isn’t just about numbers and strategies – it’s also about rapport, relationships, and the ability to connect through humour. With this new role, I’ll continue exploring how laughter and leadership go hand in hand – because let’s face it, a well-timed joke can often land better than a predictable PowerPoint slide.

So, here is the official press release from Forbes. I’m humbled, grateful, and looking forward to this exciting new chapter. Now, if only they had a category for Chief Humour Officer…

See you next Tuesday

Warmest

Paul xx
