Helen Russell – best-selling author and happiness expert – joins Paul Boross and The Humourology Podcast to discuss the relationship between humour, happiness, and mental health. Russell shares her insights into how humour can help lead to happiness by seeing the humanity in others.

Paul Boross is joined by best-selling author Helen Russell to discuss how humour can play a role in your mental health. From resilience to creativity, Russell knows that humour and happiness go hand in hand.

“I think there’s definitely something in humour when it comes to improving your mood, improving your relationships with the people around you. It attracts others to us. If you think somebody is funny, you want to be around them, and they want to be around you. I think for that bonding and that bringing the people together and even defusing conflict, it’s really important.”
